Qc 2nd Birthday Party
Vawter Winter Wonderland

FREE MEGA BIRTHDAY PARTY FOR QUEER CITY CITIZENS

Qc, headed by Pieter Rossouw has established itself as one of the country’s top gay party providers – having served Gauteng's fabulous gay community (and occasionally beyond) with a range of tasty clubbing events.

Now, on Friday 6 June, Qc will be celebrating its second birthday. The occasion will be marked with a free (yes, you heard it right) birthday carnival at Partyhouse at The Dome in Northriding, Joburg, where guests will be welcomed by a winter wonderland carnival setting.

“This event is a small thank you to our incredibly gorgeous, loyal Qc citizens. As our birthday present this event will be FREE entry for Qc citizens. So come have your cake and eat it,” exclaims Rossouw.

This mega event will feature some of South Africa’s top deejays – including Devon (Bump & Grind), Ryan Dent (Flash Republic), Groove Element (Qc resident) and Bren - and is hosted by the Ice Queen and her sexy SOBA Snow Boys.

Remember, entrance is free! So get your sexy - but cold and wintry - ass over to Partyhouse at The Dome on June 6 to party with the Qc crew!

Qc Boys of Spring launch event

Queer City (Qc) hosted its launch event in the Mother City with its opening party, Boys of Spring on August, 31 2007 at Fashion TV Lounge CT.

The launch event at FTV Lounge in CT was a huge success as 350 citizens packed the dancefloor and partied the night away. The venue was camply attired with décor features such a DJ flower box, grass wall with flowers, Spring coloured drapes and hundreds of balloons loosely scattered for ‘playing purposes’ such as hitting your mate or balloon soccer.

Each citizen arrived and was greeted by a Boy of Spring dancer who was adored with flower, vine and star body make-up and handed the citizen a welcome drink - Mojito courtesy of Bacardi.

DJ Blaine kicked the party off to a good start as he played a vocal and funky house set before Groove Element kicked the party into another gear and got the party hotter. Dean Fuel turned it down a notch by playing some classic funk house to the few die hards at 4am.

Qc has earned the enviable reputation of continuously offering outstanding well supported gay parties. Hosted by promoter Pieter Rossouw of Qc Joburg and recent partners, Ian McMahon and Fehraad De Nicker of Qc Cape Town, offers attitude free gay events in a classy environment. Just ask any gay man or gay girl in Johannesburg about Qc. One thing is for sure – most have been to Qc and at the next Qc event will probably be in the queue in front of you!

On 7 September 07 Fashion TV Lounge in Michelangelo Towers Sandton will be the setting for Johannesburg helping of Boyz of Spring with top DJ’s Roger Goode from 5FM, Groove Element and Small Paul. For more information please visit www.queercity.co.za

PARTY WITH THE BIG BOYS
Run rabbits run! Rush bunnies rush!

Two of the country’s biggest nightclub brands will come together to host the hottest party of the year – the “Special” Therapy - Hot X Buns - mega-event – on April 5, 2007 at Carfax, Johannesburg (the next day is a public holiday). This promises to live up to being a truly “Special” Therapy party.

Four years after the legendary poly-sexual club in Braamfontein closed its doors, the iconic Therapy brand continues to resonate with party-goers. Still remembered – locally and internationally – as the city’s most cutting-edge nightclub, Therapy lives on with its annual and much-anticipated Special Therapy parties.

This year, things are a little different; Therapy has been joined by the proverbial ‘new kid on the block’, Queer City Productions – best known for their very stylish & popular monthly Sandton-based Qc events.

“Queer City®” - 1/2006 - Where is the party:

Where is the party? Sure you have heard that before.
Johannesburg, with all it’s beautiful people has very little “clubbing events” to choose from. Clubbing has become boring and dreary.  The standard of visual excitement is sorely lacking when compared to international events.  Gay clubs are no longer the places where everyone is queuing to get in.
