On 26 Apr 2010 Qc2 will host The FINAL
BALL, marking the end of the road for
one of SA’s best gay entertainment
concepts. Come join us in saying goodbye
to all the good times with one of the
best closing down parties ever at
Latinova in Rosebank.
Almost 4 years and 55 events later Qc
earned the enviable reputation of
continuously offering outstanding well
supported gay parties in the best venues
around South Africa. On 26 April 2010
Qc2 will host the closing down party
marking the end of the road and giving
us a reason to party harder.
It all started on 2 June 2006 when Queer
City hosted the first of its unique
entertainment experiences that
titillated the senses and left the
crowds gasping for more. Qc was the
first to target upmarket venues around
Joburg’s northern suburbs as platforms
to present the best brands and
entertainment for the well-heeled gay
late-night revelers. Until then it was
unthinkable that the top clubs will open
their doors to gay events.
Come join some of the best DJ’s featured
over the years in saying goodbye to one
of the best gay entertainment concepts
ever in SA. You will also witness the
first “one on one” DJ battle between the
two Qc residents Stuart Hillary and
Morne – Groove Element. It will be a
duel of the decks entertainment session
toasting the past and wishing everybody
“good luck for the future” and promises
to make this one of the best closing
down parties ever.

Tour 2009, one of the most

history has shown that the Fireman’s Ball
is the only party worth getting out of
the closet for! Preparations are blazing
ahead for the 2009 VAWTER FIREMANS BALL
scheduled to ignite on Saturday, 3 October
2009 at JET situated in Joburg’s North
at The Coca Cola Dome.

(also known as Glitz), is a certain style which initially surfaced
in the post early 1970's. The genre drew on several past youth
cultures, musical styles, movie images, fashion and art to produce a
distinct sound and aesthetic which essentially combined science
fiction, nostalgia, camp, theatre, and a sexy sounds.
